Lacrosse Live 2020

I started a new Initiative in 2020 called "Lacrosse Live" which is a live show on Facebook.  My goal was to try and do one every day!  Well, it's turned into more like 3-4 per week, but they're really fun!  Lacrosse Live is like a video podcast interview of around 25 minutes with incredibly interesting guests!

Jim Berkman, Legendary Head Coach Salisbury: It's always fun and compelling talking lacrosse with Jim!  We spent most of our time going over his practice plan for the day!  Incredibly interesting!

Billy Bitter, Former 1st team All-American at UNC, was one of the most dynamic players in the world!  Now works for Maverik/Cascade and is a great dude!  Billy takes us through how he sets up is world class change of direction.  Check out his college and pro highlight video!  It's pretty nasty!

Tom Mariano, Head Coach Pace University, Head Coach Chesapeake Bayhawks, and President of the USILA (United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.  Tommy and I came up through the ranks of college lacrosse together and spent a lot of time on the road recruiting and talking lacrosse.  Our conversation about Lyle Thompson is incredible!

Terry Foy, Publisher Inside Lacrosse, easily one of the most informed and educated people in the sport!  We breakdown the conference favorites in Division I.  Plus, if you want to learn about a new player evaluation initiative which will teach you the criteria for how to be ranked in by Inside Lacrosse!

Jake Elliott, NLL Announcer for the Saskatchewan Rush, the Voice western Canada box lacrosse in Jr A and Sr A.  Incredibly entertaining and knowledgeable!  We have a great chat about the NLL teams and players!  Jumbo is the best, and we dive into the details of what makes these players, coaches, and teams great! 

John Bayreuther, Long time lacrosse coach and Admissions Associate at Cardigan Mountain School.  We talk about Boarding Schools, selecting a Boarding School and and why they are so impactful for kids and families.  Johnny Bay was my assistant at Denver in '03-'04 and helped me get 3d Lacrosse Spring Break off the ground!  He is also one of my favorite people in the world!  You will love this conversation!  If you want to learn about Boarding Schools, take a listen!

Dave Falge, Head Coach Cazenovia HS in Syracuse, spent a career in the lacrosse equipment industry, was in the room with Gary and Paul Gait when the Cascade Helmet as we know it was invented!  Dave had a great run with Cascade, over a decade with Warrior Brine, and now works for PLL Whipsnakes Head Coach, Jim Stagniita in his MVP Development Group and Spotlight Camps.

Darris Kilgour: hands down the smartest lacrosse person I know!  Darris is in every Box Lacrosse Hall of Fame as a player and has won an NLL Championship as a coach too.  We talk about deceptive shooting in depth and is worth the listen!  If you want to hear probably the best podcast ever in terms of lacrosse knowledge I guarantee you haven't heard, listen to this podcast!

Gene Ubriaco, Head Coach Loyola Blakefield, has created a culture that any coach would love!  Listen and learn how he gets a top program in the nation prepared on and off the field!  Gene believes heavily in free play, dating back to the days when he and a group of HS kids invented the game of 3x!  Incredible interview!

Sean Allen, Scout NLL Wings, former GM and Head Coach St Catharines Jr Athletics, and was my son's coach for 5 years in minor lacrosse.  One of the funniest and best dudes in the game, Seanny and I tell stories, talk box lacrosse and have a good time!  Seanny also does box lacrosse training and development for programs like New Canaan HS.  If you need someone to teach box to your players, there is no one better than Seanny Allen!

Dom Starsia, legendary former coach of Virginia and Brown, and former Head Coach of PLL Chrome, Dom and I take a walk down memory lane as he was MY head coach in college and I've known him since i was about 10 years old.  Learn why Dom's new book is titled, "I hope you will be very happy!"  This book is incredibly insightful and is a must read for any lacrosse coach, parent or junkie!

Liam Banks, Syracuse All-Time Great attackman, Founder and CEO of LB3 Lacrosse in Atlanta, former Head Coach Atlanta Blaze.  Talking to Liam about his great players like Randy Staats, Mark Mathews, Shayne Jackson and what makes these box players special is incredible!  We talk girls lacrosse and why his daughter plays for HHH and Colleen Magarity in Philly!

John Paul, Former Head Coach Michigan and PLL Atlas, JP is one of the most thoughtful people in the sport of lacrosse!  We have a great conversation about Paul Rabil, the PLL, the Atlas star players, and what they ran on offense in the league this year!

Scott Hiller, 4x All-American at UMass, long time assistant to his wife Kelly Amonte-Hiller at Northwestern, we talk about the old UMass Brown days and a lot of women's lacrosse!  Here's a pic of Scotty back in the day!

Dave Kotowski, my college teammate and roommate, Dave K founded Team Elevate Lacrosse, one of the top women's programs in the nation.  We talk Lake Placid, coaching women's lacrosse, and women's lacrosse recruiting.

Kenny Broschart, Offensive Coordinator High Point University, we go deep on X's and O's, player development, and star Attackman, Asher Nolting and how they will use him!  This kid is special and has Tewaaraton Finalist upside!  Watch some video of him below!
